Announcing A Companion Blog

This blog has served as a discussion venue for privacy issues. Comments are now in the thousands. Because of that though, it is now very difficult to find the main points of any thread. Very few readers are willing to take the time necessary to read through a topic.
To provide a quicker source of information, I am happy to announce the opening of a new blog. With the participation of Doug Capra, better known up to now as MER, we are opening a new blog which will be organized to feature articles, with comments being secondary.
The new blog is:
Patient Modesty and Privacy Concerns
Thirty one articles are now posted, the last two are on children and modesty by Holly Goodwin and teaching medical students modesty by Dr. Maurice Bernstein.
I also have a new article on KevinMD blog concerning men's reluctance to visit doctors.

The Mass Media's Treatment of Patient Privacy

Most of the complaints center on how men are portrayed as patients in the health care system, often very disrespectfully. The media clearly play a role in this, though it's hard to be sure how much they cause vs. how much is a response to society's already formed attitudes.

Violations specifically covered under HIPAA of information transfers can be listed below or see link under HIPAA.
